    The Latino Theater Co. at The Los Angeles Theatre Center is currently seeking friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable individuals with highly effective communication skills to join our Front of House team. All applicants must be able to work a flexible "shift" schedule including nights, weekends, and some weekday student matinees.

    SUMMARY

    Having the highest volume of interactions with the majority of our patrons, the Front of House team is a critical component to the success of all events at The LATC. The Front of House department is responsible for the entire life cycle of each patron’s experience at The LATC from pre-show to end-of-show. Front of House associates are an integral part of our unending mission to provide and ensure that all patrons of The LATC are provided a theatre experience that is safe, inclusive, and memorably positive.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Greet patrons as they arrive; collect and verify tickets; escort patrons to their seats; distribute programs

    • Answer patron questions regarding events, the theater and the organization

    • Assist patrons who require special accommodations by assisting patrons with mobility impairments

    • Resolve seating difficulties; respond to patron complaints

    • Monitor patrons during performances and address issues of audience behavior, safety, and comfort as they arise; enforce house rules

    • Tidy the theater and lobby before and after events, including moving/arranging lobby furniture

    • Attend the Front of House meeting prior to each event

    • Sell merchandise at select performances

    • Participate in emergency evacuation of the theater, when necessary

    • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS

    • Possess impeccable customer service and communication skills

    • Ability to exercise tact and grace under pressure

    • Ability to work both independently and while cooperating within a team

    • Evening and weekend availability required

    • General knowledge of and/or interest in the performing arts highly preferred

    The Latino Theater Co. at The Los Angeles Theatre Center is currently seeking friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable individuals with highly effective communication skills to join our bar staff team. All applicants must be able to work a flexible "shift" schedule including nights, weekends, and some weekday special events. Must be 21 years of age or older.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Complete a bar service course and become certified in safe-serving techniques for alcohol service.

    • Take beverage orders from patrons

    • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to theater patrons

    • Accepts patron payments and process credit or debit card transactions

    • Maintain a clean and organized bar space

    • Take inventory of products at the start and end of each shift

    • Other duties as assigned.

    The Latino Theater Co. at The Los Angeles Theatre Center is currently seeking friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable individuals for technicians for its upcoming season and events

    SUMMARY

    We seek submissions for technicians for our upcoming season and events for all production departments. These departments include:

    • Carpentry

    • Electrics (including programmers)

    • Sound (including programmers)

    • Operators

    This posting seeks to collect names to add to our overhire call list, which includes positions for load ins, load outs, and run of show positions as needed. All interested parties are welcome to apply!

    This position reports to the Assistant Technical Director.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

    • Be a part of the load in and outs for The Los Angeles Theatre Center productions

    • Run backstage tracks and/or consoles for the run of show

    • Liaise with Production Department staff as part of the production process

    • Reflect a commitment to the Latino Theater Co. Mission and DEI Statement.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS

    • Basic knowledge of standard theatrical production practices preferred, but not required.

    • Willingness to adhere to the Latino Theater Co. safety protocols and policies

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team-player mindset

    • Ability to lift 30 lbs (pending department) and work on your feet

    • Candidates must reside in the greater Los Angeles area
