One plantation. Two families. So many secrets. As LJ Robillard, the  fiery but aging owner of Rubaiyat, a Louisiana crawfish farm, prepares to hand over control to his devoted yet defiant daughter, Nathalie, secrets long buried from the time Rubaiyat was a sugar plantation, come to light, and the resurgence of an age-old betrayal bring the Robillards face to face with the family whose long-held claims to the land and bitter desperation have made them a dangerous force which must be reckoned with.
