Six characters operate in a small area, offering us to see a glimpse into their lives where confusion is larger than any explanations or answers. Narrated by the youngest of the actors, the story is quite simple: three brothers and their partners attend a family dinner that is never consummated. The characters are living objects of observation, laboratory rats studied by other subjects of similar habits: humans and spectators. The six individuals are together in an austere room, where small miseries intertwined in the dialogue and the tension in the atmosphere suggest a tragic end.
Teatro Línea de Sombra is a project dedicated to the creation, formation, production and diffusion of theatrical exchange. The independent theater company was created in 1933 by a group of stage creators coming from various fields. The company is dedicated to the exploration of contemporary theater and the creation of mechanisms that inspire an exchange with other theater workers, both locally and abroad.
The company’s research center for creation and formation is the Diplomado de Teatro del Cuerpo (Body Theater Course). Since 1998, Teatro Línea de Sombra has organized the International Encounter of Body Theater, putting the company at the forefront of the renewal of theater language.

Ariadna and Fedra live secluded in a maze. Their mother Pasiphae does not allow anyone to enter their fortified home created by Dedalo to guard brother Minotastasio, better known as the Minotaur. This strange being is part animal, part human and part savage beast who devours his victims, while still remaining an innocent child looking only for the acceptance of his young sisters. But his sisters have a plan. They have invited Teseo, a marine newcomer to these lands, to stay at the center of the labyrinth without knowing the dangers which lie ahead.

A story of several dead bodies whose ghosts are thought to be joyful inhabitants of Heaven, when in fact, they are souls stuck at the border fence, burned in the desert, frozen in the mountains, suffocated in the trunk of a car or drowned in the river channels.

Cellist Semyon Kobialka is celebrating the release of his latest album, “The Miracle Mile”, with a one-time only concert that includes all of the talented musicians involved in the creation of the album.  As he has done in past LATC concerts, Semyon will mix music education and entertainment by inviting the audience to explore music with a behind the scenes peek into the process of creating an album. If you’ve ever wondered what goes into making an album, why music affects you in certain ways, or what choices a musician makes in order to best express themselves, come explore music with some of the most talented and inventive musicians in the intimate theater setting.

De la Locura a la Esperanza, From Madness to Hope, is a historic narrative dance-theatrical performance. The title derives from the name given by the UN Truth Commission on El Salvador to the report that focused on the investigation and clarification of some of the most violent events during the twelve-year Salvadoran Civil War 1980—1992. With a cast of more than 30 people—dancers, actors and a children choir from our community—and through traditional folkloric dances and songs, recordings, monologues and theatrical scenes, the play offers a window into the past, including: before, during and after the war; exposing the facts: intervention of the United States under the Reagan’s Administration and the more than four billion dollars in army training and weapon support to the Salvadoran Army and the overall result of the war: more than 75,000 deaths, 10,000 people missing, 500,000 internal displaced and 1.5 million people that had to flee the country.
